DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the company behind leading Filipino digital platforms such as BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, has taken a major step in its international expansion by officially entering the African market.
The group confirmed that it has obtained key operating licenses from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB), allowing it to begin operations in South Africa’s fast-growing gaming sector.
This development marks an important milestone in DigiPlus’ global strategy, positioning the company to tap into a market estimated to have generated around $4.9 billion in gaming revenue in 2025.
Under the approval, DigiPlus is authorized to operate through three license categories: a National Manufacturer License, a Bookmaker License, and a Bookmaker Premises License—providing a comprehensive framework for both digital and on-ground operations.
The Western Cape stands out as a key entry point, accounting for roughly 31% of South Africa’s total online gaming revenue in 2025. Its strong digital infrastructure and well-established regulatory system continue to attract international operators seeking stable and transparent markets.
South Africa now becomes the second major pillar in DigiPlus’ overseas expansion, following its earlier move into Brazil, as the company continues to build a broader global footprint in regulated gaming markets.
