DigiPlus Foundation has formalized a partnership with the Philippine Red Cross to enhance emergency response capabilities and expand access to essential health services in Cavite.
The agreement, marked by a formal signing ceremony, includes a ₱6 million commitment from DigiPlus Foundation to support the upgrade of the Red Cross Cavite Chapter’s facilities. This initiative builds on earlier collaborations focused on blood donation drives, and now evolves into the first major infrastructure-focused project between the two organizations.
Through the Foundation’s KalusuganPLUS program, the partnership aims to strengthen emergency response systems, improve blood service operations, and reinforce community resilience across Cavite and nearby areas. By upgrading key facilities, the project is expected to enhance the Red Cross’ ability to respond quickly to disasters, coordinate resources efficiently, and deliver life-saving services at scale.
The upgraded site will support multiple functions, including emergency operations, blood services, volunteer training, and community programs. Plans include a modern disaster operations center, an expanded blood facility, training rooms, and dedicated spaces for community engagement—designed to improve both preparedness and response.
Angela Camins-Wieneke, Executive Director of DigiPlus Foundation, emphasized the long-term vision behind the initiative, noting that sustainable impact comes from building systems that continue to serve communities over time. Jasper Vicencio, Board Director of DigiPlus Foundation, added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to being present when communities need support the most.
For the Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter, the enhanced infrastructure is expected to significantly improve both operational readiness and service delivery. Chairman Gilbert Cesar Remulla highlighted that the support will enable faster emergency response, expanded blood services, and broader outreach across the province.
As one of the country’s leading humanitarian organizations, the Philippine Red Cross plays a crucial role in disaster response, healthcare services, and community-based initiatives. Strengthening its presence in Cavite is particularly important given the area’s vulnerability to natural disasters and public health challenges.
This collaboration reflects DigiPlus Foundation’s broader mission to create lasting, meaningful impact by investing in infrastructure and systems that directly benefit communities. By moving beyond one-time assistance and focusing on long-term solutions, the Foundation continues to support safer, more resilient communities.
Both organizations have expressed their commitment to ensuring the project’s successful implementation, guided by transparency, accountability, and a shared goal of delivering sustained humanitarian impact.
