ArenaPlus has been officially named the first betting partner of the NBA in the Philippines, marking a milestone partnership between a regulated local operator and one of the world’s biggest sports leagues. The multiyear agreement, announced on April 27, 2026, also represents the NBA’s first formal betting collaboration in Southeast Asia.
Operated by DigiPlus Interactive Corp., ArenaPlus will integrate official NBA branding across its digital platforms, while rolling out localized campaigns and activations tailored to Filipino fans. The partnership also includes visibility across the NBA’s Philippines-focused social and digital channels, strengthening the league’s presence in one of its most passionate international markets.
As part of the collaboration, ArenaPlus will introduce NBA-themed free-to-play games and seasonal promotions. One of the first activations, the “Playoffs MVP: Battle for the Most Valuable Predictor,” launched in March 2026, allowing fans to submit bracket predictions for the NBA Playoffs. Beyond fan engagement, both parties have also committed to promoting responsible gaming practices and safeguarding the integrity of competitions.
According to NBA executives, the Philippines continues to be a key market where sports and digital entertainment are rapidly converging. ArenaPlus, meanwhile, emphasized that the partnership aims to enhance how Filipino fans interact with basketball, offering more immersive and interactive experiences beyond traditional viewership.
The agreement comes amid strong growth in the Philippines’ regulated gaming sector, overseen by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. Electronic gaming revenues have surged in recent years, with basketball remaining a central part of the country’s sports culture. This makes the partnership commercially significant for both the NBA and DigiPlus.
For the NBA, the deal aligns with its broader global strategy of working with licensed operators in high-engagement markets, similar to its partnerships with major US platforms. For DigiPlus, it further strengthens ArenaPlus’ positioning, adding to its existing collaborations with local leagues such as the Philippine Basketball Association and the Premier Volleyball League.
Launched in 2023, ArenaPlus continues to expand its footprint as a licensed sportsbook and live sports streaming platform, offering coverage across major local and international sporting events. Through this partnership, the platform is set to play a larger role in shaping how basketball fans in the Philippines engage with the game in a digital-first environment.
