Can entertainment help drive meaningful social change? For BingoPlus, the answer lies in combining digital entertainment with community-focused initiatives that aim to create a broader impact beyond the gaming space.
On May 19, BingoPlus marked its fourth anniversary through BingoPlus Night: Step Into the Next PLUS, a large-scale celebration that brought together some of the biggest names in Philippine entertainment. Guests were treated to performances from celebrities and OPM icons including Vice Ganda, Nina, Bamboo, Parokya ni Edgar, and Ely Buendia, creating a memorable evening that celebrated both entertainment and achievement.
Beyond the performances, the event also highlighted several milestones reached by the platform over the past year. By the end of 2025, BingoPlus reported 2.9 million daily active users and more than 3 million Filipino players receiving payouts totaling P2.25 trillion. The platform also recorded its largest individual payout of over P935 million during the same period.
While these business achievements were notable, company executives emphasized that community impact remains a key part of the organization’s long-term vision.
In 2025, the DigiPlus Foundation—formerly known as the BingoPlus Foundation—allocated P84.2 million toward programs focused on healthcare, education, and community resilience. According to the foundation, these initiatives reached nearly one million Filipinos nationwide.
To further expand these efforts, BingoPlus announced a commitment to contribute P1 billion to the DigiPlus Foundation over the next three years, providing additional resources for future social development projects.
“It all started in 2022 when we helped transform the market and introduced new standards within the industry,” said Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent Inc. “As we move forward, we want ‘Step Into the Next PLUS’ to represent continuous improvement not only for our business but also for the communities we serve.”
One of the evening’s most meaningful segments focused on WishPlus, a program that evolved from the seasonal campaign “Sagot ng Bingo Ang Regalo Mo” into a year-round initiative dedicated to granting wishes from individuals and organizations facing various challenges.
Introduced onstage by BingoPlus ambassador Kim Chiu, the segment showcased several beneficiaries whose requests ranged from livelihood support to community-based projects. During the anniversary celebration, six wishes were granted, including assistance for a security guard seeking transportation to help support his family and a non-profit organization working to improve patient care facilities.
The program reflects a broader effort to make charitable support more personal and accessible, allowing individuals to submit requests through the DigiPlus Foundation platform.
Education also remains a major focus area. With the Philippines continuing to face a significant classroom shortage, the DigiPlus Foundation launched the PLUSkwela Classroom Construction Project in partnership with the Department of Education and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The initiative aims to support students through the construction of new learning facilities, beginning with a two-classroom building that will serve more than 180 students.
To improve transparency and encourage greater public participation, BingoPlus also introduced a new Charity feature within its app. The feature provides users with updates on ongoing projects, including classroom construction initiatives, medical missions for underserved communities, and food assistance programs for transportation workers.
Through the platform, users can track project progress, learn more about community programs, and allocate earned impact points toward causes they wish to support. A leaderboard feature was also introduced to recognize top contributors and encourage broader engagement.
The concept reflects a growing trend among digital entertainment companies seeking to connect business success with measurable social impact. While gaming is often viewed primarily as a leisure activity, proponents argue that responsible and regulated platforms can also serve as vehicles for community development.
For BingoPlus, the goal is to demonstrate that entertainment and social responsibility can coexist. By supporting charitable initiatives while continuing to promote responsible gaming, the company aims to create value not only for players but also for the wider communities it serves.
“DigiPlus today stands as a model for regulated and responsible gaming entertainment in the Philippines,” Vicencio said. “Our commitment is to continue raising standards while ensuring that growth is matched by meaningful contributions to society.”
As the company enters its next phase of growth, responsible gaming and community impact remain central to its long-term strategy—reinforcing the idea that entertainment can be both engaging and purposeful.
