Manila is once again preparing to welcome the world’s top golf stars, as the Philippine Open returns from November 12 to 15 at Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.
Following the success of last year’s International Series Philippines, the tournament will now be staged as part of the International Series 2026 calendar, further elevating its global profile.
This year’s edition is expected to feature some of the biggest names in golf, including former world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, major champions Patrick Reed and Louis Oosthuizen, alongside Filipino standout Miguel Tabuena.
The inclusion of the Philippine Open in the International Series strengthens its long-standing legacy while connecting it to the global pathway toward the LIV Golf League. It also remains a key leg of the Asian Tour.
International Series head Rahul Singh highlighted the strong fan response in the Philippines as a key reason for the tournament’s return, noting the energy and support shown during last year’s staging.
That previous edition proved memorable, with Tabuena delivering a standout performance at Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club. The Filipino star closed with a seven-under-par 65, capped by a dramatic final-hole birdie to secure the title and a $360,000 prize from the $2 million purse. The victory also boosted his standing on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and helped pave the way for his appearance in the LIV Golf League.
Asian Tour commissioner Cho Minn Thant welcomed the tournament’s elevation, describing it as a significant step for Philippine golf and a continuation of a long-standing partnership with the country’s national golf body.
Backing the event once again is BingoPlus, with AB Leisure Exponent Inc. president Jasper Vicencio emphasizing their commitment to supporting the growth of professional golf in the country.
He added that fans can expect a world-class tournament experience, combining elite competition with an engaging event atmosphere as the Philippine Open continues to expand its presence on the global stage.
