ArenaPlus has announced a multi-year partnership with the National Basketball Association, becoming the league’s first official betting partner in the Philippines. The deal highlights the growing intersection of sports, gaming, and digital entertainment in one of basketball’s most passionate markets.
The partnership was officially unveiled at a high-profile launch event at the SM Mall of Asia, attended by celebrities, brand ambassadors, and headlined by NBA star Derrick Rose.
As a PAGCOR-licensed sportsbook under DigiPlus Interactive Corp., ArenaPlus described the agreement as a key milestone in strengthening its position in the competitive local gaming market. The Philippines remains a priority market for the NBA, with strong fan engagement and deep-rooted basketball culture.
Under the partnership, ArenaPlus will integrate official NBA branding across its platforms, roll out localized campaigns, and collaborate on digital and social initiatives within the Philippines. Both parties are also expected to work together on promoting responsible gaming practices.
The collaboration will be supported by fan-focused activations, including NBA-themed free-to-play games and promotions. As part of its ongoing playoffs campaign, ArenaPlus has also launched a ₱100 million MVP bracket challenge, offering fans a free-to-play prediction experience centered on the NBA postseason.
ArenaPlus Head Erick Su described the deal as a major step forward, noting that the NBA’s global reach combined with its strong local following creates opportunities for more immersive fan experiences.
For the NBA, the partnership reflects a broader strategy to expand within regulated betting markets through licensed operators. Kuljeet Sindhar, Head of International Gaming and Data Distribution, said the collaboration will allow the league to connect with Filipino fans in new ways while maintaining a strong focus on integrity and responsible gaming.
As competition intensifies in the Philippine sportsbook sector, the ArenaPlus-NBA partnership signals a more mature market environment—where global sports collaborations are becoming a key driver of growth and differentiation.
