DigiPlus Interactive Corp. said it is currently exploring opportunities to expand into “adjacent and complementary segments,” following reports linking the company to a potential acquisition of Diamond Hotel Philippines.
The statement came after an online report claimed that DigiPlus was in discussions involving the Manila Bay property as part of a broader plan to develop a large-scale gaming and entertainment complex along the bay area.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, DigiPlus acknowledged that it is evaluating potential expansion opportunities aligned with its long-term strategy.
“We confirm that DigiPlus is exploring opportunities to expand into adjacent and complementary segments, aligned with its long-term strategy to develop a robust gaming and digital entertainment ecosystem,” the company said.
However, DigiPlus clarified that discussions remain preliminary and that no definitive agreements or transactions have been finalized.
“These plans remain under evaluation, and no definitive transactions have been made,” the company added.
DigiPlus is the operator behind several major digital entertainment platforms in the Philippines, including BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone. In recent years, the company has expanded aggressively within the regulated online gaming sector, strengthening its footprint across sports entertainment, livestream gaming, and localized digital content.
The company has also signaled ambitions beyond the Philippine market. Earlier this year, amid ongoing debates surrounding online gaming regulation in the country, DigiPlus announced plans to expand into international markets such as Brazil and South Africa.
Industry observers view the latest developments as part of DigiPlus’ broader strategy to diversify its entertainment ecosystem, potentially integrating hospitality, gaming, and digital experiences into a more comprehensive offering.
