BingoPlus is helping drive grassroots golf development in the Philippines through a new equipment donation initiative tied to the National Grassroots Golf Program.
Working alongside The International Series and the Philippine Sports Commission, the initiative will distribute 100 golf sets and 100 dozen golf balls to golf courses participating in the nationwide grassroots program aimed at nurturing future Filipino golfers.
The donation drive was officially announced on May 18, several months ahead of the upcoming BingoPlus Philippine Open 2026 scheduled for November 12 to 15.
The project forms part of a broader effort to strengthen grassroots sports development and provide aspiring athletes with greater access to equipment and training opportunities, particularly in golf, which continues to see growing interest across the country.
PSC Chairman Patrick Gregorio expressed support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of long-term investment in young athletes and community-based sports programs.
BingoPlus also emphasized its commitment to supporting Filipino athletes and helping expand opportunities for emerging talent through sports-focused initiatives and partnerships.
Among the country’s top golfers benefiting from strong grassroots foundations is Miguel Tabuena, a two-time Philippine Open champion and ArenaPlus ambassador, who is expected to headline this year’s BingoPlus Philippine Open.
The Philippine Open returned to the International Series calendar in 2025 and is once again expected to attract leading golfers from around the world, including players seeking qualification opportunities connected to the LIV Golf League.
Organizers said the grassroots donation initiative represents only the beginning of a larger lineup of sports development activities planned for the second half of 2026 through the partnership between The International Series, the Philippine Sports Commission, and BingoPlus.
Through projects like the National Grassroots Golf Program, BingoPlus continues expanding its involvement in Philippine sports development while supporting efforts to build stronger pathways for future athletes nationwide.
